Default caster items

Hello I was just wondering how you would consider a sword and a shield caster items. I understand they have an energy bonus instead of damage, but how would know what a caster shield would be? what would make it so?

There is no set definition for a caster shield. Different players desire different mods on their shield (and weapon). If you are looking to sell shields to casters, don't mod them before the sale. Sell the shield (price based on the popularity of the skin) and ask what mods the player would like. If you have them, then sell those separately.

This will give you a wider market and earn more money.

NOTE: This also applies to all weapons and shields for any profession. Don't pre-mod, it narrows your market.

mods on caster weapons are really more personal preferences. for my shield set i usually run with a spear with +30hp and hrc 10% inscription and a shield with +30 and +10vs type.
others may mod their spear with +5e or -5e, +5 armor or 20% enchants etc. it's mostly what you prefer to have.

Left out the +45hp while enchanted shield mod.

Also, I wouldn't consider a shield caster worthy unless it's an q8/16ar or q7/15ar. Casters tend to have very little room to work with in terms of stat dispersal.

and most items like swords/axes/spears> when referred to as caster modded in trade chat. generally means 20% longer enchantment mod+"i have the power" inscrip..... as for shields you would usually find mods like shield handle of devotion (+45hpwhile enchanted) and the inscrip is usually something based on what they will be farming. hope i helped. good luck mate
